So, where does all of our waste go? Let’s break it down:
Hair Clippings: Getting a haircut? Your hair just might be getting a second life! It’s recycled into biodegradable plastic, which is used to make everything from combs to recycling bins.
Excess Color: No need to worry about leftover color— we’ve got it covered! It’s separated into water and oil, with the water being cleaned and safely returned to the system, while the oil gets a second job as fuel. Waste turned into power!
Paper: Cardboard and paper don’t just get tossed. Instead, they’re repurposed into new products like napkins and tissues— turning waste into everyday essentials.
Plastic: Plastic bottles don't just disappear! They’re collected, cleaned and transformed into brand new products— like shampoo and color bottles—because plastic deserves a second life, not a landfill.
Metal: The foils that help your blonde blonde? They’re melted down and reshaped into aluminum bars and sheets, which go on to make car parts and bicycles.
